Sian Aletras is a Co-founder of the new international consultancy company Amazilia. Amazilia is an innovative startup aiming to provide a platform and develop international collaboration networks on a wide range of topics including renewable energy, water & sanitation, gender equality, arts and crafts, and philanthropy. Prior to this, Sian worked as Manager, Worldwide Government Affairs and Policy for Johnson & Johnson in Germany. In this role, she was responsible for projects including managing and expanding the external stakeholder network, developing and implementing external outreach strategies, as well as monitoring and analysing new policies and upcoming trends in the healthcare market. She was part of a diverse, international and dynamic team, which was responsible for projects on a German, European and international level. Sian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a specialisation in European and International Politics from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a Master of Science degree in Economics with a specialisation in sustainability and policy making from the University of Edinburgh. Her research and expertise concentrates on policy making and its impacts on the industry and economy. During her studies Sian undertook an internship for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. Her tasks focused on supporting the public fundraising campaigns and managing the donors’ databases and direct communication. Sian is a keen globetrotter and true citizen of the world; she speaks four languages fluently, travels extensively and has an elaborate cultural sensitivity. While in Greece she was a member of the youth national volleyball team and still enjoys a good game with friends.
