Daniel Hegedus


Daniel Hegedűs is Programme Officer at the Robert Bosch Center for Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia at the German Council of Foreign Relations (DGAP), visiting lecturer at the Freie Universität Berlin and research consultant in the Nations in Transit programme of Freedom House. He earned his degrees in political science and history and is pursuing his PhD at the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. He previously worked for the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), the Eötvös Loránd University Budapest and the Public Foundation for European Comparative Minority Research. His current research interests cover the European and foreign policy of the Visegrád Countries, Russian influence in East-Central Europe, EU policy issues and the protection of the EU’s fundamental values.
