Alexandru Platon is a researcher at the Institute for Public Policy, a think tank in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. His research activity was previously focused on the conflict resolution processes in the Black Sea Region. Currently he is interested in the EU relations with the Eastern Partnership countries, EU-Russia relations, and Russia’s “Near Abroad” policy. Alexandru is a member of the National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum. He has a background in public administration and political science, also holding an MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe, Natolin.
